  • It’s totally fine. Just make sure to contact us  and we will tell you what to do. If you wanted to postpone or cancel the test more than 5 weeks prior to test date, you will get your money back minus the administration fee.  If you wanted to postpone or cancel the test 5 weeks prior to test date, you will not receive a refund unless you had a medical reason. In case of a serious medical condition which makes it unable for you to attend the test, you can provide a medical certificate 5 days prior to test date and you will get your money back minus the administration fee. If you weren’t able to be present at the test center on time due to circumstances beyond your control (e.g. a transport strike), the test center will provide you with the next available test date and you will be able to take your test.

  • The Writing, Reading, and Listening test sections are done on the same day with no breaks between tests. The Speaking test is done one week before or after your test date, depending on the center you are taking the test with. Most test centers let you choose what suits you best, whether to take the Speaking test on the test day or on a different day.   • You must bring the identity document you used on the IELTS Application Form with you, whether it is a passport or national identity card. The only things allowed in the examination room are pens, pencils and erasers. Everything else should be left outside the examination room including switched-off mobile phones or pagers which you can place with your personal belongings in the area designated by the supervisor. According to IELTS rules, keeping phones or pagers on or bringing them into the exam room will lead to being disqualified.

  • This test incudes three sections and is recorded. For about 11-15 minutes a certified and highly qualified IELTS Examiner will discuss some topics with you to give you a chance to showcase your speaking skillset.

  • IELTS exam fees varies based on the country you are located in. In Qatar this exam costs about QAR 1000 for the paper-based test and QAR 1200 for the CD-IELTS, as of Nov 2020. The IELTS test fee is the same for both versions of the test (Academic and General Training).

  • IELTS tests are scored using a nine-band grading system. You will get the band score for each test section individually on a scale from 1 to 9, and an overall band score for all the sections together.

  • Yes. But please note that the people marking your answers to the Listening and Reading questions will not see your question paper.

  • In the IELTS Listening and Reading sections, it is recommended to use a pencil. Some centers might even require that you write your answers with a pencil. The main reason of this is that centers are using new scanners that work best with a pencil, so you won’t have to worry about your answers being smudged, which might happen when using a pen. Answer sheet designs are being slightly updated as well, which is just an operational change. Test formats, content and marking standards are still the same. In case you forgot to bring a pencil, no need to worry. The test center staff will provide you with one.

  • You can receive your Test Report Form within 13 calendar days after your test date. Normally, you will receive only one copy of the Test Report Form. But, if you are applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), or the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA), then we will provide you with two copies. Note that a proof of application to CIC and UKBA must be provided.

  • You can request for an Enquiry on Results (remarking) within six weeks of your test date, and pay the Enquiry fee. The fee you paid will be fully refunded in case your band score changes. Keep in mind that the IELTS test has the highest quality control procedures and examiners are regularly monitored and follow strict assessment guidelines.
